Twinning

Fife Voluntary Action have helped the Twinning Team to draft a constitution to form a SCIO. Next step is to submit final version for approval and registration with OSCR.  We are actively seeking potential Trustees and Members. All interested are invited to contact limekilnsinfo@gmail.com

Twinning Team had a display at the Gala Day. We had several new enquiries as well as visits from existing supporters. Table football and a French themed treasure hunt were popular fun activities enjoyed by young families. Thanks to Ali Mitchell and the Gala team for supporting us.

A French “Pop up Café” will be run by the Coorie on 19 September. Contact the Coorie direct for more details. Other events are being developed.

The programmes of regular village activities will be shared with our French counterparts and a calendar of twinning activities for the year ahead will be agreed and published once we are formally constituted.

Thanks to the Community Council and Fife Councillors for their continuing encouragement support of our initiative. However, we still need and would welcome the support of the wider community in our villages

Playpark

Playpark
Hello all, a short report with my apologies for absence.
The big picture is that fundraising has now reached over £210,000 through the generosity of lots of small gifts and a series of large grants, the most recent being a conditional offer of £25,000 from the Fife Rural Development Fund.  (Conditions include achieving the complete sum, and spending the grant by mid-Feb 2027.)

A local treasure hunt in aid of the Playpark raised several hundred pounds, and a bucket shake at East End Park takes place this Saturday.

We are now at the stage of selecting the equipment and working with Fife Council towards the
tendering stage. In the meantime fundraising will continue.

Thanks are offered to all those who have supported the project.
